In the recent zeitgest of crypto builders has been the idea of achieving sovereignty while also keeping interoperability. Today, we’re diving into this with Avi Zurlo, Chief Product Officer of =nil; Foundation. For this conversation, we had a focus on sharding and how =nil; Foundation is approaching this choice.
Since its inception, =nil; Foundation has been a key player in low-level cryptographic infrastructure, focusing heavily on ZK technology. With innovative products like ZK LLVM and a ZK proof marketplace, =nil; is all in on building a scalable ZK rollup, based on zkSharding.
In this pod, we explore the important distinctions between sharding and rollup-centric scaling. We also discuss horizontal scaling, distributing workloads across multiple machines, and scaling without sacrificing decentralization (and of course, interoperability).
We also look ahead to the roadmap which promises significant scalability, and a long-term oriented approach with the goal to be resilient for decades to come.
