The modular ecosystem is still in its infancy stages.
We are at the cusp of an acceleration of sovereign rollups built with Celestia underneath. This idea, while new to many, has been at the root of Celestia’s roadmap since inception. In today’s video we take you through everything you need to know about sovereign rollups, with a focus on Forma.
We discuss how Forma has been carefully designed to leverage the unique properties of sovereign rollups, a key distinction that allows it to operate independently of traditional chains by settling directly to Celestia. We go into some of the technicals such as their custom pre-compiles and a specialized execution environment meant to handle detailed metadata and intricate interactions between NFTs.
Their goal is to allow artists and onchain creators to build more nuanced and dynamic digital assets.
